Memorial Day has a special meaning in the United States, commemorating the U.S. soldiers who died while in the military service. It originally began as Decoration Day, specifically to honor Union and Confederate soldiers following the American Civil War. Later, it was amended to include all service men and women.

As a holiday that officially falls on the last Monday in May, it also marks the beginning of summer. In addition to honoring fallen servicemen and women on Monday, many people associate the weekend leading up to Memorial Day with outdoor barbecues, beer, sporting events, parades, and other activities.

Then, on Saturday, twelve more artists represent in Vegas.

Marquee Dayclub at The Cosmopolitan. Opening just a few short months ago, the Marquee Dayclub has already hosted dozens of leading artists, bands, and musicians. Set in a sprawling area with two pools, several bars, and a separate gaming area, the newest club will rock the outdoors with Markus Schulz and Roger Sanchez on Friday. Tao Beach at the Venetian. Still one of the biggest and most respected hot spots in Las Vegas, both the Tao Beach and nightclub will be bringing some additional names to the long weekend party, starting with DJ Ross One and Discotech (Joe Maz & Danny Daze).
